Position Summary

This role belongs to our Applications Development team, based in our Innovation Center in Lille Skensved (close to Køge). Responsibilities include hands-on work to develop new Food Applications as well as Project Management. We are looking for an experienced professional to join us and actively contribute to finding exciting new solutions for today's Food & Beverages market.

Please note that this position is a Maternity cover, and thus a temporary contract for a period of minimum 9 months.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate or be responsible for projects

  • Develop new products, applications, methods and procedures

  • Work with others within a specified activity, project, business and/or technical area

  • Proactively Identify and analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions

  • Plan work and work instructions to be done in order to solve a specific task, also including other departments

  • Secure high quality and reliable lab work and development work

  • Use scientific methods in experimental design

  • Align with collaborators to secure progress and meeting deadlines

  • Demonstrate broad knowledge with the ability to incorporate technology from related disciplines

  • Prepare professional reports for documentation of work and interpretation of results

  • Contribute at team meetings and projects meetings, by presentation of results and discussion of these

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
  • Sound knowledge in Food Applications (Dairy applications knowledge is a plus)

  • Food Ingredients knowledge (an expertise in Texturizers is a plus)

  • Project Management skills

  • Ability to work on a global scope

  • Communicate effectively across different organizational levels and functions

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities

  • Creative, innovative, open minded and a can-do attitude

  • Customer and market orientation

  • Curious, thirsty for knowledge

  • Takes ownership proactively

  • Cooperation skills.

  • Being systematic and perform work with sense of accuracy and timeliness.

  • Being able to work with moderate guidance

Preferred Experience
  • Candidate would have a Master's level degree or PhD in Chemistry, Food Science or a related technical field.

  • 7-10 years’ experience within the food, pharmaceutical, chemical or related industry in a related technical role.

  • Expertise in food and/or industrial application formulation in addition to the physical chemistry of carbohydrate polymers, is a plus.

  • Experience in leading people and/or teams is a plus.
