About us

Chief Dull Knife College is a Tribally Controlled Community College in Southeastern Montana on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. We are a two year college focussed on culturally connected student learning with preparation for transfer to four year institutions of higher education.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented researcher to join our team. The researcher will work closely with the faculty research team and student interns. This position will also be responsible for the data management, field research, and data entry of data collected during the summer field season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with their own research and sharing research with two year college student interns.

Responsibilities:

• Perform research on one of the many topics the college is currently involved in or their own research they bring with them.
• Prepare and analyze data from summer research
• Maintain accurate patient records by collecting demographic information as needed
• Coordinate with other research staff members and faculty to ensure that all study activities are complete and accurate
• Provide support to student interns as needed

Required Experience:

• Master’s degree in a related STEM field from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of experience in a Community or Tribal College is preferred.
• Previous experience with scientific instruments such as Atomic Absorption units, Lachat Flow Analyzers and Metrohm Compact IC Flex Unit preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• No nights
• No weekends

• Lame Deer, MT 59043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Research: 1 year (Preferred)
• Teaching: 2 years (Required)
