The Kaneko lab in the Department of Radiological Sciences at UCLA is seeking an exceptional Assistant or Associate Project Scientist with expertise in molecular biology, biomedical engineering, and vascular systems. The successful candidate will contribute to a project focused on developing a new medical device for neurovascular diseases. The candidate will collaborate with the principal investigator (PI) and other team members to develop research plans, execute experiments, analyze data, and prepare research reports for publication. The candidate will also be expected to establish and maintain the Lab's research infrastructure, develop and implement best practices, manage and coordinate experiments, supervise doctoral and postdoctoral trainees, author scientific publications, and develop the scientific components of grant applications. Applicants should have good communication skills with demonstrated experience contributing to grant submissions and publishing manuscripts in high impact journals.

About THE LAB:
Kaneko lab focuses on analyzing clinical and cellular phenotypic measurements to understand the physiological response of vascular systems to different treatments and interventions. The primary aim is to gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cerebrovascular diseases, such as cerebral aneurysms and steno-occlusive diseases, and identify new targets for imaging modalities and therapeutic intervention. The lab's ultimate goal is to improve patient outcomes through advancements in vascular research.
