Job Description:
The ABA Classroom Assistant has the opportunity to develop skills in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) as they work one-on-one with children with autism ages 2 - 3, under the supervision and support of a Special Education Teacher. You will be trained by a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and learn from clinicians in Speech and Occupational Therapy.
ABA Classroom Assistants can grow in the field of ABA becoming therapists and with support from the McCarton family, grow in their career.

Compensation:
$15 per hour
Opportunity to increase rate up to $20 per hour within the first year!

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Ability to work entire shift Monday - Friday, 7:50 am - 5:30 pm
  • Able to lift 40 lbs and monitor the safety of a child
  • Able to provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

You will be successful in this role if you are:

  • Passionate about working one-on-one with 2 - 3 year old children
  • Interested in a career in Early Childcare, Special Education, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy or the healthcare industry

  • Understanding of the importance of working in a team and promoting a supportive environment for your co-workers
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and take on any challenge
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus

Work 4 days per week with 1 day off, Monday - Friday (36 hours)

Work 5 days per week (45 hours and eligible for overtime)

The McCarton Foundation is a non-profit organization on a mission to bring exceptional treatment and services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We believe in the ability that exists within every child and that all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential.

In Fall 2018, the McCarton Foundation opened our Bronx Center - an Early Intervention agency providing center-based and home-based services in ABA, Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapies to young children at no cost to families.
