Business and Funding Development Specialist
Job Description

Specific Job Functions
Business Development
- Initiate and develop stable funding source(s) to grow KCDRC’s Youth Development and Training program and initiatives
- Identify and communicate growth and expansion opportunities for KCDRC Youth Development and Training programs
- Build relationships with champions to get integrated into funding governmental and foundation funding cycles
- Create organizational cataloging and tools and artifacts to support winning grants and large contracts
Mediation & Training Services
- Provide mediation and training services
Funding
- Create and begin to implement strategy to grow and advance the KCDRC’s large private and foundational donor base
Promote Equity & Inclusion
- Identify and drive development and funding efforts towards programs and opportunities that deliver positive impact for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, the formerly incarcerated and other historically marginalized communities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Values people, results, and accountability
- Demonstrated commitment to racial justice and social equity
- Demonstrated experience in working in environments that require adaptability and flexibility
- Demonstrated experience in effective teamwork, partnership development involving persons from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and other various backgrounds.
- At least three years of leadership experience in non-profits.
- At least three years of experience in program development
- Strong positive interpersonal communication skills
- Strong effective project management and time management skills
- Proficient writing skills and use of Microsoft office software products
- Proficiency in English, bi-lingual welcomed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Most DRCKC employees are currently working from their homes. Some staff choose to go to the office in Wallingford once per week or less frequently.
