Do you think that new biological discoveries can be made from the novel analysis of existing data though developing innovative bioinformatics tools? Do you believe omics data especially the single-cell data is revolutionizing biomedical research? Do you think computational approaches are critical in immunology and precision medicine? If your answer is yes, we might have a great position for you!
We develop bioinformatics tools for next-generation sequencing data analysis and Machine Learning algorithms for large-scale biomedical data interpretation. Current research interests are single-cell sequencing data analysis, machine learning for big data analysis and Omics data mining in cancer immunotherapy. Previous trainees in our lab have obtained bioinformatics jobs at top biopharmaceutical companies like Bristol-Myers Squibb and Genentech.
We are looking for postdoctoral scholars who are passionate about data-driven novel biological discoveries from integrative data analysis. Our goal is to design and apply novel analysis tools and pipelines to cancer omics data to understand and cure cancer.
Function/Duties of Position
Duties of this position include:
- Bioinformatics tool development
- Collaborative omics analysis
- Dissemination and Outreach
Travel may be necessary on occasion. Compensation for this position follows the NIH Salary Scale.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in related field
- At least one first-author paper in biological data analysis
- Demonstrated interests in programming or cancer biology or genetics or immunology or mathematics or engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cancer and immunology research, omic data analysis and machine learning
- Previous experience in data analysis using R packages
