Job Description:

The Russ College of Engineering and Technology's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Ohio University invites applications for the grant-funded, full-time, benefits eligible position of Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Photonic Interconnects.
The Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Photonic Interconnects will conduct research and teaching in optical interconnects technologies for improving the performance, resiliency, and energy efficiency of embedded systems, manycore architectures and chiplets. Responsibilities associated with this position include research in the areas of optical interconnects for computing and communication for deep learning neural networks. The candidate will also be responsible for developing curriculum and introductory courses in optical interconnects. Mentor undergraduate and graduate student research assistants working in the area of optical interconnects.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science by the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including superlative technical writing skills.
Possess a superior ability for data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Be capable of organizing work and performing duties autonomously and without need of direct supervision.
Possess a creative approach to problem solving.
