Job Summary:

We invite applications for faculty positions in the broad areas of cellular biology and developmental neuroscience.  Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous, innovative, and independent research program, and participate in teaching and scientific community involvement. They will join a highly interactive, interdisciplinary group of faculty, students, and fellows, who investigate many aspects of cell and developmental biology, including intracellular organelles, inter/intracellular signaling and quantitative cell biology. The neuroscience research in the department includes investigations on taste and smell sensory systems, glial cells, and ion channels.

There is a strong interdepartmental Neuroscience Graduate Program: https://www.cuanschutz.edu/graduate-programs/neuroscience/home , which has approximately 50 graduate students working in laboratories in basic science and clinical departments.  

The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology is one of six basic science departments in the School of Medicine on the Anschutz Medical Campus at the University of Colorado. New faculty will join a growing enterprise with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities on the Anschutz Medical Campus (please visit www.medschool.ucdenver.edu/cdb ). This campus opened 20 years ago and continues to build new research and clinical buildings, along with a growing bioscience park.

  Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.  

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field. and first authored publications in notable journals. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should have a strong record of research accomplishments, including history of research funding, preferably with NIH, NSF, or appropriate private postdoctoral funding,  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to establish a vigorous, innovative, and independent research program.

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    $105,000 - $125,000.

    The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
