We are searching for a full-time Community and School Based Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team in the Selinsgrove Intermediate School. The ideal candidate for this position will thrive in environments where no two days are the same and have a passion for helping children grow to their fullest potential. Working closely with a Mental Health Therapist and Clinical Supervisor, you will be guided on how to provide therapeutic interventions while following an individualized treatment plan. Your goal will be to promote positive behaviors and interactions through a variety of evidenced based practices while modeling how and when to intervene with the child for caregivers in the home, school, and community settings.

What Do I Need?

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a Behavioral Health field (Required)

AND

Two years of experience in a Behavioral Health/Mental Health field (Preferred)

Other Requirements

  • You will maintain all required licenses and clearances
  • You will maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
  • You will have average knowledge of Microsoft programs and typical office equipment You will abide by all HIPAA compliance requirements
  • You will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • You will have the ability to work as a part of a team as well as individually

What Will I Do?

  • You will conduct observations of identified youth, implement individualized treatment interventions, and administer appropriate case management.
  • You will provide group and family sessions in the school, home, and community under the direction of the Mental Health Therapist and participate as needed in team meetings that offer support and input from all areas of the child’s life.
  • You will record client data, track progress on treatment objectives and complete required chart documentation and quarterly chart audits as assigned by your supervisor.
  • You will provide crisis intervention services as a part of a 24-hour day, 365 days per year, on-call rotation.
  • You will assist with the delivery of in-service training and liaison activities with school staff.
  • You will meet with the Mental Health Therapist for group supervision daily and individual supervision as required, collaborate with CSBBH Team Consultant as necessary and coordinate care with other service systems.
  • You will attend all required training.
  • You will collaborate with the CSBBH Team in development of the annual Therapeutic Summer Programming (TSP)
  • You will participate in community events.

Hours of Work

This is an office, home and community-based position with workdays and hours based on the client’s needs. May include evenings and/or weekends

Experience:

  • Behavioral health: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
