Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Contract Management & Business Development Advisor for our busy Specialty Practice. This is not a remote position. The Contract Management & Business Development Advisor is responsible for the management of contracts and business development of the company. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing complex architectural and legal projects including construction and business-related contracts. Responsibilities may include drafting and reviewing of contracts, leases, construction plans, rules, agency final orders, and proposed legislation affecting the company. Identifying new business ventures and partnership opportunities. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Administers contracts for design and construction management of large and complex projects by coordinating the work of the consultant.
  • Formulates standard design and construction specifications; oversees construction projects to meet measurable deadlines.
  • Negotiates and interprets lease agreements, architectural contracts, construction management contracts, insurance contracts, managed care contracts, and other contracts and agreements.
  • Provides technical leadership and assistance in developing direction for future processes and or practice development.
  • As new business lines are acquired or created, assessing risk, educating business leaders about risk, and ensuring compliance.
  • Ancillary duties may include performing due diligence during acquisitions, assessing the risks associated with the acquisition businesses.
  • Assesses any possible risk to the company and reviews the legality of all contracts prior to obtaining executive signatures.
  • Produces written reports for presentation to Company Board and Committee(s).
  • Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Seeks, evaluates, and integrates information from a variety of departments.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations and decrease turnaround times.
  • Evaluate impact of legal consideration on business objectives
  • Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the Company. Provides advice about litigation.
  • Interact with other Company executives to provide real-time solutions to pressing daily issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Juris Doctor Degree from accredited law school required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, architecture, or related field with minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • 2 – 5 years of contract writing and interpretation experience.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Requires membership in a State Bar as an attorney qualified to practice law and eligible under Florida bar rules.
