Post Doctoral researcher to design, construct or modify and test imaging techniques in support of research being conducted in the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute; actively participates in MRI research planning and development phase; plans, designs, implements and manages research projects in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI); conceptualizes, designs, and executes MRI experiments; collaborates with Principal Investigator (PI) in developing goals and objectives of research projects; establishes test controls and criteria to meet goals; oversees and coordinates development and implementation of new and/or revised imaging research methodologies; develops, oversees and supervises image data collection methods; extracts, analyzes, interprets and summarizes data; ensures and documents data and quality management; develops, implements and applies computer programs for image data analysis; writes research progress reports and submits to funding sponsors; writes manuscripts, articles and abstracts for presentation at scientific meetings and publication in peer- reviewed journals; assists with development and preparation of grant applications to obtain funding from external sources in support of research; develops and sustains relationships with external sponsors and research collaborators; serves as liaison with research sponsors and agencies.

Minimum Education and Experience

Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences required or an equivalent combination of education and experience ; Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
