What we want

The postdoctoral research associate will be working on developing machine learning/artificial intelligence algorithms for various applications, including energy systems, health systems, and marine systems. The candidate will also be helping with writing research proposals, attending regular meetings with the research team, attending conferences, and publishing research articles in high-quality journals. As a postdoctoral research associate, the position can perform mostly independent research, collaborate on a multi-scholar research initiative, or even may have lead responsibility of a larger research project or program, all while under the general direction of a principal researcher.

 

What you need to know

Salary: $60,000 annually


Required Education & Experience:
Appropriate PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education : PhD in Engineering; preferably Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering with post-doctoral research experience.

  • Experience : Previous Post-doctoral research. Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence algorithms exhibited through training, Github, and publications. Knowledge of energy systems, health systems, and marine systems.

  • An ideal candidate has the ability to work independently and as part of a team, possesses strong interpersonal communication skills, and demonstrated scientific writing skills (conference presentations, journal publications, writing successful research proposals, etc.).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Publications and Proposal Writing - Assist in writing research proposals. Compose and publish research articles in high quality journals.

  • Algorithm Development - Develop machine learning/artificial intelligence algorithms for various applications, including energy systems, health systems, and marine systems.

  • Collaboration - Work with the research team, collaborate on multi-scholar research initiatives, attend regular meetings.
