Description

: 

The UH College of Pharmacy, in alignment with the University Strategic Plan and 50-in-5 initiative, is seeking to recruit an Open Rank Research Faculty. The proposed Research Faculty position will manage and support the College equipment core, a critical and strategic component of the College research enterprise. This position will also arrange necessary training to the research staff such as graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. These efforts and resources will support the pursuit and success in obtaining center, multi-PI and training grants, elevating the research expenditures and reputation of the college and the University.

The University of Houston is a Carnegie-Designated Tier 1 public research university and also a member institution of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center which houses major academic research programs in cancer, genetics, and neuroscience with a major focus on translational research.

Qualifications

: 

Eligible candidates must have earned a PhD or doctoral degree
3+ years of postdoctoral or industrial experience in leading efforts to enhance research infrastructure, administration, training and resources
