Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline in hand by September 2023.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates seeking to bridge multiple disciplines or bring AI into new scientific domains. Research interest in the following areas: AI, Machine Learning and Computer Vision Natural Language Processing and Data Science, Biomedical Informatics and Computational Neuroscience. Experience writing grant applications.

Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the faculty in the AI Institute in its research, teaching and service missions. The candidate will conduct research following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University Institute of AI Driven Discovery and Innovation .

●     Conduct research with Institute faculty in areas such as Machine Learning and Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Data Science, Biomedical Informatics and Computational Neuroscience, Knowledge Extraction and Formal Reasoning, Advanced Modeling Techniques.

●     Coordinate research efforts within the AI Institute with graduate students, Institute and other faculty, undergraduate students and staff.

●     Participate in manuscript writing for publication in scientific conferences/journals, presentations, and federal/state grant applications.

●     Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
