Job Summary:

The Harris Administrator is responsible for administrative monitoring, coordination, financial oversight, and program management for all Harris postdoctoral training programs and activities. The Administrator will have dotted line reporting to the Harris Training Directors, report directly to the Section Administrator of the Child and Adolescent Division of the Department of Psychiatry and will work collaboratively (dotted line) with Director of Postdoctoral and Psychology Training, and the Director of the Office of Education and Training as needed. This position may supervise student employees.

The Harris Program has two cohorts of trainees including 3-9 full time fellows and 10-15 community fellows per year. The Administrator is responsible for all day-to-day administrative duties of the Harris Infant Mental Health Postdoctoral Fellowships

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing annual recruitment, position and time management tracking for postdoctoral fellows and Harris faculty.
  • Working Section Administrator of CAMH on trainee budgeting and procurement.
  • Managing annual training calendar including course and supervisory schedules and calendars, evaluations, and OneDrive content building.
  • Developing and managing OneDrive training (courses) and administrative folders.
  • Overseeing onboarding/training materials including HCM updates, background checks, scheduling, orientation, and calendaring in the Department and at affiliate sites (e.g., Children’s Hospital Colorado, University Hospital).
  • Managing trainee and faculty evaluations, and annual reporting.
  • Overseeing annual recruitments – setting up application portals, managing applications and distributing to faculty reviewers, serving as the liaison with applicants, developing interview schedules, compiling application evaluations, and preparing applicant data, and participating in related meetings.
  • Directing the administrative activities of the Harris Program, including faculty members’ funding distributions and other work activities.
  • Responsible for program budgets totaling $50,000 - $500,000+ per year.
  • Overseeing grants and contracts funds flow process for grants for the Harris Community Expansion program, foundation partners, and numerous other contracts.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

The Department of Psychiatry is one of the largest units in the UCD-SOM and is comprised of 5 Divisions. The Department currently has approximately 475 paid appointments. In addition, the department has 371 clinical faculty members, 125 regular faculty from Affiliated Hospitals (i.e., Denver Health, National Jewish, VA), and 94 faculty with secondary/adjoint appointments in Psychiatry. This position will support the Harris Infant Mental Health Program (Harris program) including administrative, HR, program coordination and financial responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Two (2) years of professional level experience with training program coordination and administration.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the field of training program coordination and administration.
  • Experience with complex university finances including grants, contracts, endowments, and gifts.
  • Experience with CU systems including HCM, Concur, Marketplace, and CU Data
  • Experience supporting training programs in child and adolescent mental health.

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

     $59,313 - $75,446.

    The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
