Candidates for this position are encouraged to read more about our mission, values, and programs on the center’s website: http://ctlo.caltech.edu .

Reporting to the Director of the CTLO, the Associate Director for University Teaching will develop and lead programs for faculty and instructors, including short courses and other cohort-based experiences, campus-wide and disciplinary workshops and discussions on teaching, and other innovative ways to advance and support inclusive, equity-minded, and effective teaching and learning. The Associate Director will teach a graduate course on university-level STEM pedagogy, typically once per year. The Associate Director supervises the Program Manager for Graduate Teaching, who focuses on programs for TAs, graduate students, and postdocs, particularly TA orientations, the Teaching Conference, and mentoring graduate student leaders who collaborate with the CTLO on campus-wide programs such as the Caltech Project for Effective Teaching and the Teaching Assistant Fellows in several STEM departments.
