Job Summary:

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time pediatric/rehabilitation psychologist to join the Pediatric Rehabilitation Psychology & Neuropsychology Program

The position will focus on providing evaluation and intervention services to pediatric patients and their families who are adjusting to acute or chronic injury or illness. Dependent on experience, services may be provided across levels of care (e.g., inpatient, subacute, outpatient). Patient populations will include acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury/disease, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and a variety of other medical conditions related to rehabilitation. Duties will include working with interdisciplinary teams in developing treatment plans and promoting positive rehabilitation outcomes, individual and family behavioral health treatment, psychoeducation, development of behavior management plans, consultation-liaison, and coordination with school personnel and community providers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. 

  • Formal training in pediatric or child clinical psychology
  • Specific experience in a pediatric hospital setting
  • Completed an APA or CPA accredited doctoral Program (Ph.D or Psy.D)
  • Completed an APA or CPA pre-doctoral internship
  • Completed a formal postdoctoral training program in pediatric psychology and/or pediatric rehabilitation
  • Licensed or licensed eligible in Colorado 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally 
  • Proven ability to care for patients with high complexity, both medically and psychosocially 
  • Leadership ability and commitment to advance diversity and inclusion

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$110,000 to $120,000 

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
