Education Program Coordinator

The Barber National Institute is seeking a Education Program Coordinator at the Elizabeth Lee Black School, a nationally designated "School of Excellence" for 14 years and approved private school, that offers a range of educational program choices designed to help all children achieve their potential. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and evaluate teachers and professionals in the APS classrooms and the ESY program.
  • Interprets and provides guidance regarding all Federal and PA's Department of Education's regulations and guidelines.
  • Review lesson plans, IEP's, and RRs to provide appropriate implementation. Schedule and attend all IEP, IEP/R meetings with team, families and school districts.
  • Leadership in providing curriculum support and the design in lesson plan development.
  • Directs and coordinates placement of students and classroom staff at the beginning and throughout the school year and the ESY program.
  • Point of contact for School Districts regarding referrals, placement issues, and project development.

Qualifications:

 

  • Master's Degree in Special Education and a Certificate of Special Education Supervision.
  • 3 or more years of educational supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance.
  • FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements.
