Since we first opened our doors in 2003, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo Valley has grown to become one of the largest in Southern California.
Our clubs provide a safe place to play, laugh, discover, and learn for youth in grades K-8. Caring, trained staff and volunteers work with our members in supervised, safe, and structured environments to build new skills and help them succeed.

Club Director
Type: Full Time
Hours: Monday through Friday
40 hours a week

SUMMARY:
Directs/manages overall daily operations of the designated Club with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations, and membership administration.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership
- Establish Club programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success.
- Create a club environment that facilitates the achievement of the BGC/GCV Mission Statement and Positive BGCA Youth Development Outcomes.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment, and supplies are maintained.
Strategic Planning
- Plan, develop, implement, and Club Branch overall programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests.
- Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation.
Supervision
- Allocate and monitor work assigned to program volunteers and staff, providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal.
- Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned volunteers and staff.
- Oversee proper record keeping and reporting, including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements, and any problems/issues.
- Ensure productive and effective performance by all program staff and volunteers by being present during clubs’ hours.
Marketing and Public Relations
- Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services, and activities within the Club and the community.
- Increase the visibility of Club programs via posting daily schedules, announcements of upcoming events, and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailers, flyers, and media releases.
Management
- Manage club financial resources assisting in the development of annual budgets. Control expenditures against budget.
- Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including the use of facilities by outside groups.
- Manage and provide career development opportunities for club staff and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings.
Partnership Development
- Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, volunteers, and organizations.
- Develop a minimum of ten school contacts per school year.
What makes a successful Club Director?
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of eight years’ experience in a non-profit agency, operations management, and supervision, with at least a year at the Club Director level; or an equivalent combination of experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, and coordinate operations, in personnel supervision, the recruitment and retention of key personnel, facilities management, and budget management.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to maintain multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and including database management required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The position is an onsite role and works during operating hours.
- Participate in special programs and/or events.
- May be required to drive Club van.
- Attend school parent meetings when necessary to represent the Club.
- Assume other duties as assigned.

Pay: $69,802.46 - $72,000.00 per year
