Job Description

 

Are you looking to work in a caring environment helping clients with Substance Abuse issues? Community Counseling Center, a private non-profit agency, serving Las Vegas for over 26 years, provides substance abuse counseling and support services.
We are looking for an experienced counselor to:

- Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance abuse assessments
- Refer clients for treatment as needed
- Coordinate care for clients with CCC case managers
- Coordinate care for clients, and report to, referring and community partners
- Complete required data input into the agency computer system

 

The successful candidate, in addition to the responsibilities above, will be able to:
- Engage in client advocacy.
- Cultivate relationships with referring agencies and other outside resources.
- Use standardized diagnostic tools.
- Work with diverse populations - race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation.
- Demonstrate dependability and adaptability.

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master's Degree & LCSW, MFT, CPC or intern status.
- Knowledge of DSM V, ASAM, & LOCUS.
- Basic knowledge of psychotropic drugs, signs, symptoms and effects.
- Basic computer knowledge in order to utilize the agency's practice management system.

- Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.

 

This is a part-time position. This position will include periods of sitting, walking, typing at a desk, using a computer, talking on the phone, etc. CCC is an equal opportunity employer.
