Job Summary:

This role has will join the CellSight team that is pursuing cutting-edge research and working in a highly collaborative manner with basic researchers and clinicians with a common vision: to develop novel stem cell-based therapeutics to save and restore sight in patients with blinding diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading scientific projects, including project design, performing experiments and analyzing and interpreting results
• Developing expertise in stem cell and retinal organoid culture and characterization
• Developing and validating new methodologies/applications
• Developing expertise in exosomes

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. 

• Ph.D Degree in a biomedical science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in vision science research with a focus on the retina, evidenced by scientific publication record. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Research experience in evaluating retinal physiology
• Experience with stem cell and retinal organoid cultures 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent skills in scientific writing
• Ability to work independently yet collaboratively
•  A strong work ethic and a commitment to being a team player in the lab and advancing knowledge in the field.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$75,000 - $80,000.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
