Job Description

Serve as the primary contact and provide leadership and administrative support to facilitate all aspects of training, educational  and outreach activities for the NSF-BII Behavioral Plasticity Research Institute (BPRI) team.

  • Provides guidance on evaluation and assessment methods for interdisciplinary training.
  • Provides leadership and administrative support for training, educational, and outreach activities in an interdisciplinary research environment.
  • Serves as a central communicator and liaison for faculty, scientists, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate and undergraduate students across various biological disciplines within BPRI. Connect with other NSF-BII institutions through monthly group meetings.
  • Organizes and coordinates interdisciplinary training activities for BPRI graduate and undergraduate trainees.
  • Tracks and assesses the progress of BPRI trainees according to their Individual Development Plan (IDP).
  • Tracks and assesses trainee progress towards each level of the training certificate program.
  • Prepares data for annual report, publication and presentation.
  • Help with BPRI renewal and proposals to acquire external funding.

Other duties as required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Social science or natural science 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • More than two years’ experience in program evaluation and assessment
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams, demonstrating exceptional communication, teamwork, and self-management skills.
