JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Postdoctoral Researcher Position - Structural Virology of HBV
An exciting opportunity awaits a passionate and self-driven postdoctoral researcher within our laboratory at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey PA. This full-time, NIH-funded position presents a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual keen on exploring the structural biology of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) within human cells. We're on the lookout for a colleague who is self-motivated, independent, and
intellectually adventurous, one who holds a PhD in a related field by the time of
appointment. We anticipate that the candidate will demonstrate a strong experience for hands-on techniques such as cell culture, virus purification, viral protein characterization, and protein chemistry. In our commitment to fostering an
environment of learning, we will provide the necessary training on electron
microscopy, 3D reconstruction techniques, and other required areas.

This position is initially available for a period of two years, with potential for
renewal based on productivity. Salary will be commensurate with experience, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
