INSTRUCTOR/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MECHATRONICS
Job Description
Corning Community College is seeking Instructor/Assistant Professor of Mechatronics in Corning, NY.
Job duties include: teach courses in Electricity, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Data Acquisition, Physics II, Physics III, Engineering Orientation, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, etc.; evaluate and grade students’ class work; initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions; compile, administer, and grade examinations; keep abreast of developments in her field by reading current literature and participating in professional conferences; engage in scholarly activity leading to presentation and publication of her findings; prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts; plan, evaluate and revise curricular, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction; maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students; cooperate in Department course planning and development; assist with Departmental projects and programs; integrate computer software and computer-based instruction; and participate in Department division and general faculty meetings and other forms of College service.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology and three years of industrial experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
