Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V for the department of Oral Biology within Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Teaching Specialist V will perform experiments involving predatory bacteria, microbial biofilms and the interaction of predatory prokaryotes with additional therapeutics.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Performs laboratory experiments utilizing standard techniques in microbiology and molecular biology.
  • Assists with experimentation and data analysis.
  • Maintains accurate records of experimentation and research and prepares reports.
  • Reviews selected literature relevant to research activities.
  • Assists in the maintenance of laboratory facilities and instruments, including ordering laboratory supplies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor degree in biology, molecular biology, microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in basic microbiological techniques, and/or molecular biology, are essential.

Immunization Requirements
