Position Qualification
Position Summary | The Department of Environmental, Agricultural and Occupational Health (EAOH) and the Water, Climate and Health (WCH) Program in the College of Public Health (COPH) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking an outstanding candidate for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to focus on environmental epidemiology research, particularly related to water and climate and climate-related disasters. The candidate is expected to work with Dr. Kristina Kintziger and the WCH Program research team to (i) develop innovative epidemiologic research to better understand the public health challenges related to environmental issues including water and climate and to create solutions to these challenges, and (ii) contribute to the mission of the WCH Program. The candidate will be provided the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary research at UNMC and throughout the University of Nebraska system. |

Required Qualifications | Applicants must have received, or expect to complete a doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Public Health Preparedness, or a closely related field before the start of the position. The successful candidate must have the ability to engage in independent research, be diligent and meticulous in their attitude towards work, and be collegial in their interactions. Applicants must have a strong epidemiological methods background and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. |
