We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Windows Systems Administrator to play a vital role in supporting our active user-base, which encompasses a wide range of hardware and software. Working alongside a dedicated team of System Administrators and Information Security experts, you will contribute to the National Security Space (NSS) Mission Area by addressing intricate problems collectively.

 

As a Classified IT Systems Administrator, you will…

  • Manage a diverse Information Technology (IT) environment, encompassing commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), government-off-the-shelf (GOTS), and open source software.
  • Monitor Systems to ensure proper operation and respond to user help requests. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the Information Assurance Professionals Team to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, including but not limited to NIST, DFARS, and RMF. Configure computers and software to meet security standards. Provide technical guidance for addressing system vulnerabilities. Prepare for and support periodic security inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with the Linux, Storage, Security, and Compliance teams to maintain a secure and functional classified processing environment across multiple networks, leveraging your expertise in Windows and Active Directory administration.
  • Support the systems operations and compliance team by maintaining existing systems' hardware and software, as well as promptly addressing user needs and accommodating new customer requirements.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a BS in an Information Technology field or a combination of equivalent level of relevant experience and education in the information technology domain area.
  • Are proficient with Windows PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Have experience working with Computer Network Defense (CND)Tools.
  • Have experience managing and troubleshooting SQL server and services.
  • Have extensive experience with maintaining and optimizing Windows Server operating systems, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written and verbal channels.
  • Have the ability to independently analyze and identify project/program needs and develop high-quality cost-effective solutions for addressing the use of existing and future computing resources.
  • Have a current DoD 8570 certification (Security +, Current Operating System Security).
  • Hold an active Secret government clearance and can ultimately obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Possess a MS Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Have experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, NISPOM, and DAAPM requirements as they apply to information technology under DCSA cognizance.
  • Have extensive experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and vCenter.
  • Previous experience with Splunk enterprise management and query/dashboard development, Windows and Linux desktop and server operating systems, storage, office products, database administration, and scientific applications.
  • Knowledge of Tenable Nessus or ACAS scanning and vulnerability management processes.
  • Possess any of the following certifications: MCSE, VCP, CCNA, or CCNP.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance.
