Job Type: Professional

  • Responsible for overseeing the institution-wide grants program
  • Research viable funding opportunities, analyze competitive positioning and risk
  • Develop, write, and submit grant applications according to guidelines
  • Coordinate grant proposal teams
  • Work with the Grant Facilitator, Project Directors and Business Services staff to ensure positive performance in the technical, fiscal and operations management of all active grant projects
  • Ensure proper protocol is followed in conducting all formal change orders/modifications and timely submission of agency reports
  • Facilitate and support strategic partnerships with business/industry, community organizations and other entities
  • Participate in partnership meetings, assisting in negotiations of roles and duties, and the drafting of supportive documents
  • Coordinate with program and contracting officers at local, state and federal funding agencies on grant administration issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of human services, education, or other related field experience; direct experience with grant writing is a plus, evidence of researching, writing and reporting in higher education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Familiarity with the Illinois Community College System, community college setting and other state/federal/private grant funding agencies; five years post-graduate experience in education or human services setting; excellent verbal and written communication skills; two years of grant reporting and grant data collection experience

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, occasional evenings and weekends

Salary range starts at: $55,000
