The Freshwater Community Ecology Lab is seeking a post-doctoral research associate to investigate drivers of fish distributions and population dynamics. The successful candidate will work closely with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to identify drivers of rare and endemic native darter occupancy and abundance in the Ouachita Highlands using one of the USFWS longest running (25 years) aquatic monitoring datasets. The project will integrate multiple data types and modeling approaches to link long-term fish responses to environmental variability. Primary job tasks include writing, working with collaborators, data management and manipulation, and quantitative modeling. The Freshwater Community Ecology Lab and Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: • MS in ecology, fisheries, wildlife biology, conservation biology, applied mathematics, statistics, natural resources, or a closely related discipline • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic • Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills. • A valid US driver’s license (without restrictions) Desired Qualifications: • PhD in ecology, fisheries, wildlife biology, conservation biology, applied mathematics, statistics, natural resources, or a closely related discipline • Strong quantitative skills • Experience in occupancy modeling, demographic modeling, or related fields. • Experience working in aquatic systems
