What We Want

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for conducting research on the preparation, characterization, and device measurements of oxide materials. In addition, the role will be responsible for writing manuscripts, developing research, helping with mentoring, and group organization.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.

Required Education and Experience:

• Appropriate PhD.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• PhD in Inorganic Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Research in Inorganic Chemistry: Conducts research on the preparation, characterization, and device measurements of oxide materials. Participates in analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings.  Prepares manuscripts, periodic reports, and scientific papers/presentations.  

• Presentations and meetings: Makes presentations of results at group meetings and other appropriate venues. Provides advice and assistance to other laboratory team members. Acts as a mentor to students.

• Research Enhancement and Development: Attends scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement. Stays up to date on scientific research via reading literature. Participates in writing grant proposals. Maintains laboratory instrumentation, follows applicable safety standards, and performs other duties as assigned.
