Summary

The Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning has an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiting and admissions coordinator to develop recruitment strategies for our undergraduate academic offerings. The college's office of admissions leads efforts to identify, recruit, admit, and enroll the next generation of architecture and urban technology professionals with a focus on talented, diverse, academically capable individuals. Reporting to the executive director of enrollment management and student affairs, (our organizational chart), you will design strategies to increase the volume, quality and diversity of applicants. You will also collaborate with staff and student groups to better understand interests and needs of prospective students in career services, academic advising, communications, and others.

This job is situated in Ann Arbor and on-campus work is required three days a week, with a few fully remote weeks throughout the academic year as well as a mostly remote period from mid-May to mid-August (some on campus work for tours is required during the summer). This is an exempt position which provides two days of vacation accrual a month. 

Responsibilities*

  • Engage prospective students by communicating the recruitment and admissions process to create interest, applications, and enrollment
  • Conduct virtual and in-person information sessions about our undergraduate degrees, inclusive of presentations and building tours
  • Conduct one-on-one transfer admissions advising appointments
  • Create and maintain complex data and information on applicants, admits and matriculated students
  • Prepare application materials for faculty review committees
  • Attend and represent the college at national, regional and local college fairs
  • Work with the chairs, program directors, marketing/communications, and fellow admissions team members to develop strategies to increase the volume and quality of applications through a variety of recruitment actions and messaging
  • Write and implement an annual recruitment/yield events and communication plan for assigned academic programs
  • Implement recruitment-related actions within the Taubman College diversity, equity, and inclusion plan
  • Work with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions liaison to ensure processes are followed
  • Use the latest technologies to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness: Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Wolverine Access, Zoom, Cirrus Insight, and Slideroom

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of professional work experience in college admissions or related fields
  • Intermediate experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight travel during busier times of the year
  • Frequently travels to various locations beyond campus for college fairs
  • Experience working with diverse constituencies

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor transparency throughout the recruiting process.
