Job Summary: | The Department of Psychiatry (DOP) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, the Division of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (DCAMH) invite applications for the position of Psychologist for Traverse Academy, a school-based intensive mental health treatment program within the Cheery Creek School District (CCSD). Traverse Academy, opening in Fall 2023, will be an integrated school and intensive outpatient treatment center, including specialized transition programming, for students with significant and impairing emotional and/or behavioral disorders. The program is part of an effort to reduce risk for self-injurious behavior and suicide through collaborative school-academic partnerships and facilitate a smooth transition from intensive treatment to the student’s home school. This position is primarily responsible for direct patient care of children and adolescents within the Traverse Academy Program. This includes intake diagnostic assessment; group, individual, and family-based treatment; crisis management support; and close collaboration with CCSD mental health and educational partners to facilitate smooth transitions back to the home school and community mental health services. There will be opportunities to provide supervision and training to psychology trainees and to engage in program development and research in the Traverse Academy Program. Key Responsibilities:
Supervision Received: The Child and Adolescent Psychologist reports to Clinical Director of School-Based Programming. Supervision Exercised: The Child and Adolescent Psychologist will not supervise other employees. There will be opportunities to provide supervision, training, and mentoring to mental health trainees.

Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: At the time of hire, applicants must have a Colorado Psychologist License or be eligible for licensure within the state of Colorado. Applicants must have completed an APA-approved Ph.D. or Psy.D. training program, including an APA-approved internship, and must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. Senior Instructor: ? 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Assistant Professor: ? 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Associate Professor: ? 4-7 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Professor: ? 7+ years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Preferred Qualifications (applicable for all ranks): ? Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience following completion of a postdoctoral fellowship. ? Experience working in an APA-accredited training program. ? Experience providing school-based mental health services or collaborating closely with school-based mental health providers to coordinate and optimize care. ? Experience providing evidence-based services to youth with acute mental health concerns and/or in acute or intensive mental health settings. ? Preference will be given to those who are eager to engage in all aspects of the academic mission (clinical, teaching, scholarship, and service).

Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Sr. Instructor: $105,000 to $115,000 Assistant Professor: $105,000 to $115,000 Associate Professor: $130,000 to $140,000 Professor: $162,000 to $200,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
