The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is accepting applications for a Locum Dosimetrist to work at our clinic located on the JPS campus. This assignment is a for 12 weeks with the possibility of an extension. This clinic has one True Beam and one IX machine treating an average of 40 patients a day. The successful candidate needs to be experienced in using Eclipse and ARIA.
Specific duties of the position are:
· Consultation and communication with physicians, physics, therapy
· Treatment planning for linac-based therapy
· Documentation of treatment planning
· Appropriate billing for services
· Management of work queues
Expected skills and qualifications of the preferred candidate include:
· Commitment to a team approach to patient care
· Ability to multi-task in a complex work environment
· Proficiency in written and oral communication
· Competency in linac-based treatment planning with Eclipse
· Ability to work autonomously, yet understand the need to work within a team environment
