Job Summary: | The Department of Psychiatry (DOP) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU), the Division of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (DCAMH), and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI) of Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) invite applications for the position of a full-time Program Director/Psychologist of Crisis Services. This individual will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and delivery of crisis services throughout the PMHI. There may be opportunities to work in additional clinical, training, and/or research settings within PMHI based on skillset and program needs. Supervision Received The Crisis Services Program Director reports to the PMHI Clinical Director, Dr. Jessica Hawks, with matrixed reporting to the PMHI Chief of Psychology, Dr. Bruno Anthony, for mentorship. Supervision Exercised The Crisis Services Program Director will not supervise (e.g., hire, terminate, discipline, and approve leave) other employees. Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: At the time of hire, applicants must have a Colorado Psychologist License or be eligible for licensure within the state of Colorado. Applicants must have completed an APA-approved Ph.D. or Psy.D. training program, including an APA-approved internship, and must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. Senior Instructor: ? 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Assistant Professor: ? 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Associate Professor: ? 4-7 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Professor: ? 7+ years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. ? Minimum degree qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. Preferred Qualifications (applicable for all ranks): ? Minimum of 3-5 years of experience following completion of a postdoctoral fellowship that includes clinical and administrative responsibilities, preferably focused on high acuity patients and/or crisis services. ? Experience working in an academic medical center. ? Experience working in an APA-accredited training program. ? Preference will be given to those who are eager to engage in all aspects of the academic mission (clinical, teaching, scholarship, and service). ? Eligible for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ? Clinical expertise in providing evidence-based assessment, treatment, and consultation to high acuity youth and families in mental health and medical settings. ? Strong foundation in behavioral and cognitive-behavioral theory. Ability to flexibly apply evidence-based interventions with fidelity across a wide range of presenting concerns. ? Demonstrated success in delivering patient care, leading clinical programming, and engaging interdisciplinary team members ? Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and complete complex projects ? Ability to convene a diverse group of stakeholders and lead a change management process ? Skilled in implementing programmatic changes and navigating complex organizations ? Knowledge of research and quality improvement methodology, as well as the ability to independently conduct research and/or quality improvement projects ? Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently ? Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations ? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment ? Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Effective time management and organizational skills ? Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, trainees, patients, and families ? Knows and applies best practices in diversity and inclusion practices ? Ability to provide effective supervision to mental health trainees and consultation with other mental health professionals

Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Instructor: $105,000 to $115,000 Sr. Instructor: $105,000 to $115,000 Assistant Professor: $105,000 to $115,000 Associate Professor: $130,000 to $140,000 Professor: $162,000 to $200,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
