The Pittsburgh Heart, Lung, and Blood Vascular Medicine Institute (VMI) and Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh seek outstanding junior scientists and physician-scientists for a Research Assistant Professor position. The faculty member should have a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, DO, etc.). The candidate has a high potential to be recognized by reputation in their field of study. The Research Assistant Professor should have excellent communication skills with a strong publication record concordant with 3-5 years of postdoctoral experience. They should also demonstrate potential in their field through research, writing, professional practice, or leadership in professional and learned organizations. Successful applicants will be current postdoctoral associates or research assistant professors with an MD or MD/Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
