Job Description
The Serenity Foundation of Texas (Serenity House) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as its president and chief executive officer, to succeed its current executive who is retiring. Serenity House, headquartered in
Abilene, Texas, operates a 110-bed drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility in
Abilene, and a 26-bed facility in Fredericksburg, Texas. It also provides an outpatient program and a prevention program in local schools. The president and CEO leads a dedicated team of professionals who provide a high quality, well established, and highly respected treatment program for persons who are addicted to chemicals and/or alcohol.
Serenity House provides a full continuum of care including medically monitored detoxification, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, and comprehensive after care support.
The successful candidate should have a degree from an accredited university in an appropriate field, and preferably a masters’ degree. Also, the successful candidate should have executive/managerial experience in a health care or social services field, preferably in a facility which treats chemical and alcohol addictions.
