POSITION SUMMARY
The Montrose Community Foundation (MCF) has served Montrose County and the Uncompahgre Valley for 30 years. With five million dollars in assets our nonprofit provides charitable giving where it is needed most. The Executive Director facilitates philanthropy to improve our communities’ quality of life. The Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for MCF’s staff and programs and reports to the MCF Board of Directors.

  • Encouraging Charitable Giving in the Valley
  • Connecting People and Programs
  • Encouraging Community Collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years in management, senior level preferred
  • Philanthropy or foundation experience
  • Fundraising experience
  • Strong financial skills, with budget formulations and management
  • Success working with a board of directors
  • Strong marketing and public relations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable and effective public speaker
  • Software proficiency – Microsoft Office Suite, Customer Relations Management, grant application software, website software programs/editing

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The pay range for this position begins at $55,000 and is commensurate with experience. Full-time employees qualify for paid time off (PTO) after a short waiting period and state holidays. MCF offers retirement contribution and match. Some health benefits are also available.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
