Job Summary: | Current project funding includes support for work in microbial systems, disentangling the genetic basis of co-occurring conditions, and understanding transcriptomic patterns in high-grade serous ovarian cancer. Methodological avenues include new techniques for integrating large collections of -omic profiles, using knowledge graphs, and/or linking across data types. Key Responsibilities:

Why Join Us: | The Greene lab works near the intersection of machine learning, public data, and transcriptomics. Recent manuscripts from the group have rigorously probed the performance of deconvolution algorithms, have estimated demographic factors associated with scientists who get quoted in Nature’s news content, have examined the extent to which deep learning is necessary for certain problems, and have reported on software that supports the use of large language models to improve scientific writing with precise attribution. The lab emphasizes rigor in research and has established processes to support this . Previous postdoctoral trainees from the lab have pursued and secured positions as academic faculty, as well as research positions in both industry and non-profit labs. We are a hybrid in-person/remote group, with flexibility as needed and in agreement with the PI.
