Manager of Corporate Outreach (MCO)

Job Description

MANAGER OF CORPORATE OUTREACH, Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL), to manage, grow, and strengthen key relationships with CTL’s corporate sponsors and support SCALE (Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence) Center partner relationship outreach.  Responsibilities include creating, managing, and monitoring the CTL partners sales process from identification to onboarding; developing and managing the overall new partner onboarding process; developing and launching campaigns to increase the number of prospects in the sales pipeline, including use of social media, email, and web-based outreach; developing and executing initiatives to increase partner engagement with CTL; providing guidance on corporate marketing and communications initiatives; serving as the primary relationship manager for CTL corporate partners, especially the Supply Chain Exchange (SCE) members, and developing, building, and actively growing both primary and secondary relationships and contacts with each corporate partner; identifying, encouraging, and nurturing research opportunities with partners; tracking engagement with all SCE partners and maintaining records of frequent communications and discussions in Salesforce; and performing other duties as requested.  

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, transportation, logistics, or related field; at least five years’ experience in a customer service and/or inside sales role in an industrial sales environment; excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship development skills; ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team, exercise sound judgment, relate effectively with faculty and researchers, and manage relationships with executives in large corporate environments; willingness to contribute to CTL’s broader mission; competence with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce; and ability to maintain confidentiality.  PREFERRED: experience in the supply chain management, logistics, and/or transportation and global supply chain domain; and advanced-level experience with Salesforce.  Job #22602-9
