Full Job Description
The President of the University of Fort Lauderdale is the Chief Operating Officer responsible for administration of the academic programs, maintaining financial stability of the institution, and complying with all regulatory procedures for operation in the State of Florida. The President reports to the Chancellor/CEO and Board of Trustees with the Chancellor being the immediate Supervisor who will monitor the President on a daily basis.
The duties and responsibilities of the President include the following categories and activities:
1.Â Vision and Mission
Articulating the Universityâ€™s vision, mission, and values with internal and external stakeholders
2.Â Public Relations
Represent the University in all official functions to communicate the thrust and ministry of the University of Fort Lauderdale (UFTL) to the community.
2.Â Fund Development
Pursue areas of funding that will help maintain financial stability of the institution.
Approve all business transactions for the University to ensure the integrity of the system and provide accountability reports to the Board.
Interview, hire and recommend for termination personnel of the University.
Support and enhance the institutionâ€™s academic mission and overall operations.Maintain the academic integrity of the university by providing direct oversight of policies, procedures, personnel, and admission standards.
Review, evaluate, and approve special admission and life experience application materials.
Prepare the annual report for the Commission of Independent Education and ensure the university maintains the standards for Accreditation.
Maintain communication with students, faculty, and the community through seminars, teaching, publications, public speaking engagements, and presentations.
9.Â Professional Development
Provide opportunities for professional development activities for faculty, staff and students.
Participate and partner with other ministries to promote the gospel and unity in the body of Christ.
Recruit and hire highly qualified, credentialed, committed, inspired, and dedicated faculty to demonstrate the power of God by example and teaching.
Maintain harmony and unity with The Faith Center (TFC) through close relationship, open communication, and continuous support for activities sponsored by TFC. Serve on local and state committees and community organizations to represent The University of Fort Lauderdaleâ€™s interests.
Conduct financial management with reporting responsibilities at Board of Trustees meetings. Implement board policies on financial management.
Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures for the University of Fort Lauderdale. Review and evaluate operational procedures and establish procedures and guidelines for information technology and supervise staff.
15.Â Faculty and Staff Relations
Â·Ensure human resources activities regarding employment, benefits, and personnel are maintained according to established policies and procedures.
Â·Ensure accurate personnel files are maintained.
Â·Supervise and evaluate performance of administrative personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:Â Minimum of a masterâ€™s degree and/or ten (10) years as a senior manager with substantial experience in business management, accreditation and education. Candidate must demonstrate spiritual, educational and business leadership.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
