Position: Resource Development Coordinator
Department: Resource Development
Availability of Position: Immediately
Schedule: Full time, in-person, flexibility required for special events, presentations, tours etc.
Reporting Relationship: Directly: Resource Development Director Indirectly: Corps Commanding Officer
Salary or Salary Grade: 10, Exempt
Position Overview: The Resource Development Coordinator will be a key member of the Development Team, which is responsible for maintaining and growing donor involvement and support. The Resource Development Coordinator is responsible for administrative aspects related to gift and donor data management, donor stewardship, grants, special events and the Advisory Board. This position also includes community and donor engagement, grant writing and other duties as assigned. This role is full-time.
Requirements:
- Confidentiality in all areas, mandatory.
- Associate’s degree or minimum of three years professional experience in data management, communications, and/or fundraising.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; prioritizes tasks appropriately.
- Experience and expertise in mail merge.
- Strong proficiency in related technologies and use: Microsoft Office programs, (with strong current capacity in Excel), Constant Contact, Salesforce, White Pages Premium, and others as required. Training provided if necessary.
- Ability to work independently and manage development/finance duties as directed.
- Ability to communicate the mission of The Salvation Army in writing in a compelling way.
- Must be highly organized with strong demonstrated skills in communications (excellent verbal, written), customer service, and database management.
- Proven success in the general coordination and managing in both small-scale and large-scale projects.
- Exceptional telephone and interpersonal etiquette is essential.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Valid Driver's License and able to obtain insurance clearances as determined by The Salvation Army's insurance company.
- As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014.
- Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
- Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the mission, programs and activities of The Salvation Army.
