Foreign National Payroll and Tax Coordinator

Job Description

FOREIGN NATIONAL PAYROLL AND TAX COORDINATOR, Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF), to be responsible for managing foreign national nonresident alien (NRA) payroll processes, taxation, foreign tax treaties, and administration of the Sprintax Tax Compliance determination/reporting system. Will perform outreach to the MIT community, administrative officers/directors of administration and finance, HR administrators, and affected individuals to educate them on reporting responsibilities of nonresident aliens and completion of the Institute’s tax determination processes to ensure compliance with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations.

Job Requirements:

 REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least three years of relevant experience; excellent analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, interpersonal, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with individuals at various levels of an organization; proficiency with MS Word and Excel; and knowledge of SAP, Sprintax, Brio Query, and Cognos.  Seek a self-starter with proven leadership skills who demonstrates initiative, good judgment, and the ability to manage multiple tasks--with attention to detail--under strict deadlines and interact with individuals at various levels of an organization.  PREFERRED:  experience with foreign national payroll tax policies, experience using payroll system software, and MIT experience.  Job #22597-6

Salary range: $60,000 - 70,000
