Development Associate, Office of Philanthropic Partnerships (OPP)

Job Description

DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE, OFFICE OF PHILANTHROPIC PARTNERSHIPS, Resource Development, to coordinate engagement projects for the benefit of principal gift donors and prospects in consultation with staff across the Office of Philanthropic Partnerships (OPP) and Resource Development. In addition to working with OPP colleagues, will interface with staff, faculty, and senior leadership from across the Institute, with the goal of developing, overseeing, and maintaining work consistent with engaging philanthropic support for development activities. Will also assist fundraisers in developing relationships with prospects; and plan presidential and other senior officer projects, including domestic and international travel, donor and prospect visits, managing special events, and providing other project support.  

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED  bachelor’s degree; two years’ relevant work experience; initiative; excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, planning, time-managing, project managing, presentation, logistical, and written and oral communication skills; precise attention to accuracy and detail; tact, good judgment, and discretion with confidential information; proficiency with standard computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; tact and diplomacy when interacting with offices of senior leadership, faculty, and program staff across the Institute; and a flexible approach to the working environment.  Seek a self-starter who is able to follow through on tasks and meet deadlines under the pressure of tight time constraints; independently organize, prioritize, and manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and ever-evolving work environment; analyze, synthesize, and present information; and solicit information across departments and work collegially and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team in a diverse, service-oriented setting.  PREFERRED:  knowledge of Advance and web presentation software, e.g., Zoom and WebEx; and one year of experience managing projects, events, communications, stewardship, or development services.  Job #22588-6


Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed. Occasional travel may also be required.

This position will be hybrid, with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
