The Marsal School is seeking an experienced Recruitment and Admission Coordinator to join our collaborative team in the school's Office of Recruitment and Admission. Under the supervision of the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, you will primarily (1) help develop and implement strategies for the discovery, cultivation and enrollment of a diverse and high-quality applicant pool and (2) execute processes related to undergraduate and graduate applications. Whether you have a background in education or are simply passionate about its transformative power, this role places you at the heart of efforts to connect students with opportunities that reach far beyond teaching alone. This position will be primarily student-facing (90%), focused on recruitment efforts year-round while playing a supporting role (10%) in the processing of admissions applications during peak times.

Responsibilities*

  • Collaborate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an annual recruitment/yield plan to meet enrollment goals
  • Collaborate with Marsal School colleagues to develop and execute creative strategies aimed at increasing the volume and quality of applications through a variety of recruitment efforts
  • Execute in-person and virtual recruitment activities representing the Marsal School on and off campus to students, families, university advisors and faculty, and others
  • Serve as a liaison between the recruitment and admissions team and one or more academic program’s faculty and staff
  • Implement recruitment-related actions consistent with the School's diversity, inclusion, justice, and equity (dije) initiatives
  • Use provided systems to track students through recruitment, application and yield, such as: Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, Wolverine Access, MPathways, Business Objects reporting, ImageNow and Zoom
  • Support business processes related to applications for the undergraduate and graduate programs, including the verification and preparation of submitted documents
  • Advise prospective students on admissions processes and policies governed by the Marsal School, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (OUA), and Rackham Graduate School
  • Special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1 year of professional admissions, student services, or teaching experience
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse communities and cultures or underrepresented minority populations
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; solid presentation skills with experience presenting to groups
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities and produce timely results
  • Self-starter and motivated with ability to work toward goals and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must have access to transportation and a willingness to travel and work some evenings and weekends
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced office that places a high value on quality customer service, team orientation, and planning
  • Proficient computer skills

Work Locations

The Marsal Family School of Education is located at 610 E. University, Ann Arbor, MI 48109. While the majority of the work days will be on site at the Marsal School, on campus, or at recruitment locations, this role will allow for a flexible schedule of up to two days per week performed remotely. Flexible work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change dependent upon the business needs of the school and/or university requirements
