POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides project management support for PPLM’s Health Equity initiatives that include public health outcomes focused on eliminating health disparities while achieving health equity. This role will also providecomprehensivedata analysis and support.
Takes lead role in identifying opportunities for the improvement and maximization of existing functionality of current logic models and operational workflow(s).Serves as project manager and consultant in working with health equity teams to develop and implement workflow/operational changes, propose solutions and measurements for success and tracks results.

Compensation: $66,000-$70,000k

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Facilitates the planning, implementation and execution of assigned projects and/or application implementation plans for a wide variety of strategic projects crossing multiple functional areas with a focus on improving and enhancing health equity efforts through effective data analysis and project management. Determines project parameters, guidelines and structure. Provides in-depth analysis of issues and proposed solutions.
    • Acts as an internal consultant providing guidance in logic model design and workflow analysis. Works with the Health Equity Core groups and departments on trouble shooting problems and resolving operational questions and data anomalies.
    • Supports activities pertaining to the streamlining of functionality and operational workflow.
    • Provides support, direction and training to peers and others. Will serve as high level resource and/or supervisor to interns by providing guidance, training and assigning work.
    • Leads or participates in any subgroup activities that may require representation, facilitation and/or direction. Activities may include, assisting with facilitation of meetings with community partners, hosting focus groups, designing surveys, etc.
    • Helps define project scope, goals and deliverables. Creates schedule and project timelines.
    • Responsible for tracking deliverables as well as monitoring and reporting on project progress.
    • Provides functional guidance concerning the implication of the application of various systems. Serves as functional expert and resource on complex projects.
    • Works across departments to develop reporting tools, processes and key performance indicators that support the strategic plan and are complimentary to other department work.
    • Utilizes complex reports, audits or other methods to assess, analyze and evaluate opportunities for improvement in the areas of workflow operations and data integrity. Develops, suggests and implements creative solutions or processes to correct identified issues.
    • Develops on-going documentation of efforts and provides in-depth analysis of results. Provides high level analysis and support of implementation decisions including feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, functional specification, workflow development, test plans and scripts.
    • Coordinate annual matching process with Boston University’s Maternal Child Health Fellowship program. Supervises, trains and mentors Fellow.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

    • BA degree and or equivalent job experience
    • Five years’ work experience in a professional setting preferred.
    • PMP certification a plus
    • Health care and/or public health experience strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of structural racism, racial equity, and systems of oppression, including being comfortable and confident in speaking about these topics in a public health setting.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of communities using a culturally competent lens.
    • Excellent communication, writing, editing and computer skills essential.
    • Strong organization and project management skills necessary. Must be flexible and work well with deadlines.
    • Ability to assess, analyze, and be comfortably discuss complex stigmatized public health issues
    • Ability to assess and analyze data to inform reporting and health equity initiatives.
    • Will be asked to demonstrate these abilities during the interview process
    • Sense of humor, resilience, flexibility and ability to work in a fluid environment a must

$66,000 - $70,000 biweekly
