Posting Summary
The Sr. Division Administrator will provide overall administrative management, project management and supervision of the daily operations for the finance and administration division. Ensures accurate and timely processing of requests and actions of all direct reports to the Sr. Vice Chancellor Finance and Administration at Rutgers University Camden. This position will develop and supervises the implementation of procedures and processes. Provide oversight, facilitation, and supervision of financial, business operations, academic support and policy interpretation; including but not limited to; purchasing, IT, HR, space and facilities planning; major event execution, and business processes.
This position will resolve a diverse range of problems consistent with an understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the division and with a comprehensive understanding of administration/office management in accordance with management principles, applicable regulations, and university policies and procedures. Interprets, communicates, and implements policies and practices for both internal and external stakeholders. Establishes performance standards, conducts evaluations, and has authority to hire and fire staff.
Works independently with broadly defined work objectives and limited review of overall results. Performs professional work that requires specialized knowledge and confidentiality in one or more fields of management/administration, finance, IT, HR, facilities, public safety, event planning and management, and a solid understanding, use, and application of concepts, theories, principles, practices, regulations, terminology, and applied bases in area of specialization.
This position must be able to handle complex, high-level multitasking with professionalism and efficiency. They must be able to handle highly confidential information and work professionally with faculty, staff, and students. They must work with closely with executive staff, community leaders, community groups, joint board members, and key stakeholders.

Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience, plus an additional five years of experience that demonstrates knowledge and
understanding of administration, management, coordination, facilitation, project management
and/or report writing principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of project planning programs, collaborative systems such as Teams, Google, etc. and experience with finance, HR, and other relevant systems.
Equipment Utilized

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals , if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
