Summary of Job Duties:

The AM3 Lab at the University of Arkansas is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research on developing robotic 3D printing technologies. The candidate is expected to develop the hardware and software of the printing system, prepare reports and documentation to communicate progress, prepare journal and conference papers, and mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment

  • Research experience in one or more the following areas: robotics, programming, embedded systems, 3D printing

  • Good communication skills in writing and oral presentation

  • Good skills in project planning, project management, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in any of the following areas:

  • Experience using industrial robotic arms

  • Experience in software engineering


Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
