Clinical Research Coordinator Associate

Stanford University

Job Description

The Personalized and Translational Neuroscience Lab (PanLab) is recruiting for two Clinical Research Coordinator Associates (CRCAs). These positions would coordinate and implement novel translational neuroscience studies that use brain imaging and other measures to personalize therapeutics for subtypes of depression.

The PanLab is based within the Stanford Center for Precision Mental Health and Wellness and within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Science. The lab is highly interdisciplinary, with links to Psychology, Neurosciences, Engineering and Veteran Affairs. Motivating each research project is the PanLab’s mission to reconceptualize depression and related disorders as disorders of brain circuit function and to translate this knowledge into individualized treatment solutions. To further this goal, the lab pursues mechanistic trials, biomarker-guided trials and computational approaches across datasets.

Within the PanLab we believe “Neuroscience is Personal.” Our ethos is collaborative and one that believes quality science goes hand in hand with mutual respect (More information on our lab values can be found here ). If this resonates with you, we highly encourage you to apply.

The CRCA’s would have a key role in all aspects of the research process, spanning maintenance of study protocols and IRB approvals, screening and recruitment, detailed assessment of subjects, quality control of data and contributions to analyses for scientific outcomes. Assessments include functional neuroimaging, self-report, and computerized cognitive and emotional testing modalities. Study subjects will include healthy participants and people experiencing a range of symptoms of anxiety and depression.  Therapeutic studies include selective novel antidepressants, transcranial magnetic resonance imaging (TMS), and exploratory therapeutics such as MDMA, ketamine and psilocybin. The positions will be fully on-site. The CRCAs will be with a highly collaborative team, with the opportunity to interact daily with other coordinators, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and collaborators. The positions will be based in a lab that values cooperation, fairness, efficiency, and conscientiousness.
