The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Allergy is looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate who will study immunologic mechanisms in the setting of asthma and lung cancer, focusing on innate immune cells such as dendritic cells and tissue-resident macrophages. Our current research investigates the roles of conventional DC2 in asthma and tumor-associated macrophages in lung cancer, as we published previously (PMID: 36790376, 30054206). The research fellow is expected to utilize various techniques including, but not limited to, flow cytometry, in-vivo mouse disease model, and next-generation sequencing.

The following are prerequisites:

 

  • Previous experience in flow cytometry (Required)
  • Previous experience in mouse disease models (Required)
  • Minimum of two first-author papers in international peer-reviewed journals
  • English knowledge in communication and manuscript preparation
  •  

    The PI will help the applicant develop his/her career by providing an interactive and exciting research environment and encouraging the preparation of research papers, applications for fellowships, and participation at international meetings.

    Candidates must have a Ph.D. in immunology or cell biology or an equivalent degree in related fields.
