General Description
Niagara County Community College is searching for an effective dynamic administrator to provide services and help manage our Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP). This is a full time, 12-month grant-funded Administrator position reporting to the Director of Liberty Partnerships Program.
Under the direction of the Director of LPP, the Assistant Director will supervise program staff, provide tutoring and mentoring services to students, coordinate and direct the Indigo Project assessment tool, counsel students, assist the Director with day-to-day operations of LPP, and interface with cooperating secondary schools. Position will also act as a conduit for the collection of student information to be digitized and included in the program system.

Typical Work Activities

  • Assist the Project Director with the daily operations of the program.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of program activities.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and delivery of the academic support services.
  • Provide services to LPP students in one or more schools.
  • Update/revise current system of communication with parents of LPP students.
  • Communicate with the on-site LPP Program Administrators.
  • Provide evening and weekend programming opportunities, as appropriate.
  • Review the action plan of each student as designed by the Program Counselor.
  • Coordinate seminars and enrichment activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports.
  • Coordinate collection of student information with all sites/district partners.
  • Input student information into the system database.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
Must be able to relate to a diverse population; must be able to interact with faculty, staff and administration; must be able to develop and prepare written reports must be able to operate computers, write directives, and maintain records; must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to individual and groups, on and off-campus; must be able to physically perform the functions of this position.
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • at least one-year experience working with at risk students in an educational setting.
  • One year of experience in academic advising, tutoring, counseling, or teaching.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field.
  • One-year experience working with multiple databases.
  • One-year experience managing grant funded program.
